A message from Alex Blackford:

I became an attorney because I wanted to do something that benefited people in a meaningful way. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked in a wide variety of industries. For approximately four years I worked in demolition removing asbestos from buildings and drove a dump truck. Before that, I worked for an advanced technology company selling high-end computer networking equipment to businesses. For about 11 years I worked in media selling and buying advertising time on television. In between these jobs I’ve been a TV and movie extra, did building maintenance, and fought wildfires with the U.S. Forest Service.

All of these jobs have taught me a lot about what it means to work for bosses under many different circumstances. But two lessons I have learned are that while some employers are better than others, it is rare that they give you anything unless you ask for it and most of the time you better stand up for yourself if you don’t want them to take advantage of you. This goes for consumers too.

Justice and fairness are important to me.

I have spent most of the last two years working with injured workers and making sure they received the benefits they were rightfully owed. During this time, I have also represented clients in criminal matters, mainly DUI cases. It is my passion to stand up for the rights of people fighting the system, any system.

But I am not doing this alone. I have surrounded myself with other people just as passionate about fighting for people’s rights as I am. Together, we have more than 60 years of experience making sure injured workers get the benefits and respect they deserve.

I am a graduate of Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and attended San Diego State University and you can find additional information about me on my LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-blackford-6018575/
